How to SEARCH the Job Board

Here is how to use the SEARCH feature of the CareerDFW Job Board.

Please Remember:

  1. jobs only stay posted for 21 days.
  2. The newest job posted is at the top of the list.
  3. Jobs can be posted in up to 5 categories.
  4. You do NOT have to log in to see any of the jobs. You only have to log in to post a new job. Anyone can post a job.

There are a couple ways to do a seach on the Job Board.

Search by location:

  1. Make sure that you are on the Job Board tab.
  2. Click on the binoculars (just right of the search box) NOTE: Do NOT use the search box in the blue bar at the top of the page, that is for the rest of the site.)
  3. Click on Location (on the left side.)
  4. Enter the number of miles you want to search in. Click set.
  5. In the "Enter a city" field, put in your zip code (or the zip you want to search around.) Select the correct location or enter a location, i.e. street name and city.
  6. Click on the "Apply" button.
  7. You will now only see jobs in the area selected.
  8. To clear the search, click on the x in the upper cormer of the yellow location box. 

Search by Category

  1. Make sure that you are on the Job Board tab.
  2. Under the "Filter by Category" box, click on the down arrow next to the word "Job Board"
  3. This will open the list of categories, you will see the list of over 50 categories and next to each one will be a (x). x is the number of jobs in that category. 
  4. Click on the title of the category and those jobs will now appear.
  5. You can select another category and see those jobs, or click on the "Home" button under the job category.

 

REMEMBER...jobs will only stay posted on this site for 21 days.

The most current 30 jobs will be on the front page if you scroll down.
