History of CareerDFW

August 2008 - Five career management groups split from a larger career group. Each group was now out on their own. In order to promote each other, flyers were created to promote each others career group.

September 2008 - Jeff Morris looked at other ways to promote the groups and found that www.CareerDFW.org was available and purchased the website name. Having never built a website, Jeff used his career network to find someone to show him how to build a website. Jeff created a word document that mocked up what he envisioned the website to look like.

October 2008- After a few false starts, Jeff found Rick Arroyave (thru networking) to help Jeff get this website started. Rick has helped several nonprofits build their websites and he helped by pointing to the right program to structure, manage, and publish the information. Jeff started attending (and still does attend) a monthly website users group meeting and learned from experienced and very helpful website designers...people just like you.
